I put Plan: Purge into heavy action this past week. And I must confess, somewhat gleefully, that it is working! I'm feeling lighter and happier, like a burden has been lifted from me. Which is a nice sensation.
I spent the weekend at a war. It was so much fun to just hang around and spend time with people I don't get to see often. And relax. And not be important. I caught up with a few friends who I adore and generally had a really nice time. So much laughter than I am still hoarse.
In other news, Beaker and I finally went and filed our income tax for 2007 and 2008. So 2007 is way overdue, but 2008 was early! Yay! The good news? A huge return from 2007. HUGE. and 2008? Even at half the size, it's still HUGE. It's a nice sensation. We were very worried we'd wind up paying, but thanks to Beaker having to fly for work, and me being at home, we did okay. Moving for work also helped.
So that's kind of all there is. Unless you want to see fabric because my quilting stockpile is amassing quite a hugeness lately. I've got lots of miles to put on my sewing machine this year.

Purging is one of the best feelings EVER! So glad for you. =)
Yay for you!
We're doing our taxes this weekend. Ugh. At least The Man takes on the chore himself and only asks me a couple of questions. He's so smart there's no need for me to wander in and screw it up!
I've just started making jewelry. You should see the boxes of stuff I've got on my desk. It's so exciting! The downside - it hurts my wrists. Dammit! I've got carpal tunnel and I'm trying to avoid surgery. And holding little wires and playing with tools doesn't help. Splints at night do though - thank goodness! Still - I love it! It's so different from the knitting! Should I email you some pics??
